1957 Hillman Minx de Lux Series 1. In Seacrest Green/Pearl Grey. Only 4 Owners from new, with the last owner having owned it for 52 years! Originally sold by E.H. Pickford & Co on Duffield Rd Derby. Registered on 25/07/1957. Costing £795. The last owner purchased the car in December 1968 for £50. Over the last 50 years plus , 100’s of hours have been spent keeping it in good condition. It has never failed an MOT test and still has a current certificate, even though it is no longer needed. During a recent engine overhaul the opportunity was taken to fit an overdrive to the gearbox. There are files and files of paperwork showing invoices for parts and work for the last 50 years. Every MOT from 1970 onwards features in the history file. Amongst the invoices and MOT’s are notes and diagrams made by the last owner for wiring diagrams to notes made about expenditures and fuel used. With only less than 10 Series 1 Minx’s on the road today, this an opportunity to own a much loved rare Hillman with a fantastic history!
