Vehicle Description

Triumph announced the GT6 in 1966. Basically a six cylinder Spitfire in hard top form with more internal stowage space. Dubbed ‘The poor man’s E-type’ because of its similar looks and six cylinder engine, it looked every bit as pretty, just a little smaller. Powered by the very smooth 2 litre six cylinder, power would reach 120 Bhp.

This 1972 MK3 example in Sapphire Blue with Black trim has only covered 40k miles. It is RHD, with a manual O/D gearbox and sits on painted wire wheels. Sold by ourselves in 2018 to local customer. The car comes with an extensive history file with invoices for work and restoration, including bills for a bare metal respray, new interior and mechanical work. Looked after by local specialists TR Enterprises and Paul Mackley Engineering, with recent work being a full carburettor rebuild and tune. This car is a very cared for example that drives extremely well and looks stunning.
