Vehicle Description
Just arrived- 1939 Buick Century 4.1L Straight Eight Sedan. Over £90,000 spent on the restoration. Factory original RHD, manufactured in Canada 1939 and registered in UK 1940, (Canada was part of England back then, Buicks manufactured in Canada were shipped to the UK had no import duty to pay). This four door sedan is fitted with “coach type” doors that are often referred to as “suicide doors”, where the front two doors open as usual but the rear doors hinge at the back of the door. This has the action of when all doors are open the occupants are shielded to some degree from the elements when exiting the vehicle, which makes this car ideal for Wedding hire. This is a stunning uncommon car that drives beautifully, starts with ease and a pleasure to drive lending itself well to being part of a collection or used for Wedding hire due to the way the doors open, general size, fantastic looks, road presence and originality. Both restored spare wheel spats/covers are present.
